JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Under general direction, provides leadership and guidance to the prospective and admitted students, supervises recruitment staff members and co-manages upper-division Student Ambassadors, responsible for enrollment functions for the School of Law, including recruitment, admission, scholarship awards, data collection/analysis, marketing, webinars, social media, special events coordination, recruitment travel preparation and orientation.
Characteristics, Job Task and Responsibilities:
May include any and/or all the following:
1. Provides leadership and guidance to prospective and admitted students; oversees quality of service; seeks opportunities to enhance services; participates in overall goal setting and reporting, participates in assessment, gathers survey data, participates in budget preparation.
2. Supervises, recruits, trains and co-manages upper-division Student Ambassadors; oversees on-going staff training; monitor and implement new recruitment initiatives; coordinates projects relative to the recruitment process. Assists in the recruitment, selection and training of law Student Ambassadors. Assists with the planning and implementation of New Student Orientation.
3. Reviews applications thoroughly; interprets and evaluates the academic credentials of law school applicants and transfer/visiting students; admits qualified candidates and also serves as a voting member on a committee to make admissions decisions and award scholarships; establishes processes and activities to increase the quality and quantity of law school students to ensure a diverse and well-qualified entering class.
4. Oversees national recruitment, travel and marketing, including planning and developing recruitment strategies, regional and national travel, as well as communications with college professors, counselors, and pre-law advisors; performs recruitment activities, attends colleges and law school consortium forums throughout the United States; coordinates scholar activities, special programs, and projects.
5. Coordinates the recruitment and admissions process for law school applicants; plans and implements recruitment and admission receptions and programs; communicates with prospective/admitted students via phone, email, social media and webinars; provides substantive information on admissions requirements, school programs and curricula, financial aid, housing and career opportunities; responds to inquiries from prospective and admitted students regarding entrance requirements, application procedures, financial aid availability, housing alternatives, etc.;
6. Assists with managing and coordinating data processing systems, Law School Admissions Council applicant tracking system, operations, and applications; performs analyses, identifies problems and solutions, makes recommendations, and evaluates the results regarding the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the database management system; coordinates data analysis and statistical evaluation; identifies web-based applications to support administrative functions; coordinates system audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy; maintains a working relationship with the LSAC technology team;
7. Creates and maintains enrollment management marketing plan; performs data collection and analysis on enrollment management activities; prepares statistical reports and analyses; administers enrollment management tasks; develops internal and external contacts; maintains working relationships;
8. Collaborates with multiple law school departments to plan and implement programming for admitted and current law students focused on student transition to law school;
9. Creates promotional flyers and email campaigns for recruitment and retention purposes; selects and designs promotional items for prospective students; monitors the Admissions marketing inventory throughout the admissions cycle; maintains contact list for participating school representatives;
10. Organizes and coordinates a series of on and off campus in-person and virtual recruiting events; coordinate private visits with student groups, undergraduate faculty and administrators, and pre-law advisors; participates in other related Admissions and Diversity initiatives;
11. Assists the Dean of Admissions with the 3 + 3 Programs by serving as the point of contact and coordinator for all 3 + 3 related private campus visits and programming;
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience equivalent to:
Juris doctorate preferred; Masters Required; supplemented with up to 2 years of applicable experience.
Knowledge and strong skills in the use of integrated software systems, particularly CRMs, reporting tools and all Microsoft Office applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Foreign language skills.
Experience working or serving in student services, admissions or higher education.
