Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for 4 open Graduate Assistant positions. These positions are all located in River Forest, IL.
Graduate assistantships are available to graduate students with exceptional academic records. Generally, students best suited for graduate assistantships have strong academic records, a strong work ethic and plan to accelerate their degree program. The graduate assistant position consists of up to 19 hours of work each week. Graduate Assistants work to support various campus offices and coordinate activities under the supervision of a specific department chair or head coach.
Candidates must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a Concordia University Chicago graduate program.
The 4 open Graduate Assistant positions are as follows:
Track & Field
Recruiting: Communicate with admissions about campus visits and itineraries, calls, emails, letters, recruiting database maintenance
Individual Workouts: Provide extra work before or after practice with athletes and implement specific workouts
Scouting: Break down our film and upcoming opponents, statistical analysis of our team, opponents, and how to incorporate analytics into our program to help improve our efficiency
Analytics breakdown: Track, break down, and produce a report
Academics: Supervise team study tables, check on class attendance, set-up tutoring appointments, and provide additional guidance
Travel: Create travel itineraries, hotel accommodations, bus schedule, etc.
Practice Duties: Ensure practice floor is set up and ready, assist in practice execution, motivate and challenge players on a daily basis and track points of emphasis
Game Day: Assist in setting up pre-game meals, run-thru practice, travel accommodations, player needs, statistical breakdown, and any other necessary duty
Other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree required
Acceptance into Master's Degree Program at Concordia University Chicago.
Minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA and have valid driver's license.
Demonstrated success in playing lacrosse at the college level and strong knowledge of NCAA rules.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Candidate must values diversity, equity, and inclusion in all that they do.
Must be willing to work with various departments on campus including, but not limited to: admissions, facilities, development, academic advising, and student affairs.
Recruiting experience preferred, but not required.
