Summary of Duties:
The position will support financial aid activities by providing financial aid counseling, supporting financial aid processing, and meet regularly with current and perspective students. The position conducts presentations to the campus and to the community on financial aid. This position will facilitate the scholarship awarding process for the campus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing generalist duties and typically include various cross functional duties and responsibilities within a student services environment. Work is performed with supervision and within established policy using knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures. This position is part of the Enrollment Management team in Academic and Student Affairs, is supervised by the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment and works collaboratively with campus and university partners to deliver effective services that support the retention and growth of the student body at WSU Tri-Cities.
Positions require a Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of professional work experience in student services. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience working with students - including student internships or student employment.
Ability to create and give public presentations;
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex policies and procedures;
Experience working with college students;
Fluency in a language in addition to English;
Experience developing and fostering community relationships;
Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict.
Current driver's license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
