The Assistant Director of Admissions & Scholarship Opportunity:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Admissions and Scholarship and with minimal supervision, the Assistant Director focuses on reading and interviewing candidates for the two-year and one-year MBA programs. The Assistant Director, serving as a member of the Admissions Committee, will evaluate applications, conduct interviews, and recommend admissions decisions. Additionally, the Assistant Director is responsible for providing insight and guidance on selection and yield, as well as coordinating and assessing admissions criteria to develop an effective recruiting plan. This role will assist as well in the creation and implementation of marketing efforts via event planning, digital initiatives, and alumni engagements intended to cultivate and matriculate the incoming the class.
The Assistant Director will be chiefly responsible for managing the Student Ambassador Program. This includes developing the program, selecting, and training participants, and managing their experience throughout. This position will also oversee data management and reporting responsibilities including creating daily dashboards and reports for the admissions team and assisting with providing admissions data that supports the annual MBA rankings.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree with two to three years of experience working in University admissions and enrollment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills are necessary along with strong presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow-through.
- A clear understanding of, or the ability to understand, higher education issues.
- A commitment to excellence and to providing a high degree of customer service.
- An outgoing nature that is comfortable working alone but also as a member of a team in a high-volume environment is essential.
- The ability to travel internationally and domestically on a frequent basis is a must along with working occasional evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business or education is preferred in addition to experience in admissions for MBA or other graduate programs
- Experience working on a team with high expectations regarding professional conduct.
- Experience coordinating a process or project is a plus.
