What We Are Looking For

The Senior Coordinator for Housing Assignments manages the day-to-day operations of the room assignment process for approximately 5,400 students and provides leadership for the Housing Management System (StarRez) as it interfaces with the University's Student Information System, SCT Banner (Banner). This position supervises three full-time administrative staff and provides training and oversight for CL&L's front desk. The Senior Coordinator will conduct on-going assessment of occupancy, and provides leadership and vision in regard to enhancing administrative services, student satisfaction, and communication. The Senior Coordinator will be required to communicate effectively with a variety of university constituents, including Athletics, the Equity, Civil Rights, and Title IX Office, the Office of Access and Learning Accommodations, the Paul L. Foster Success Center, Student Conduct, and Undergraduate Admissions.

A Bachelor's degree, one year of relevant experience and a Christian faith are required. A Masters degree and three years of relevant work experience are preferred.

What You Will Do

• Provide direct leadership for all on-campus occupancy through management of the application process, reapplication process, creating room profiles, making assignments, administering room changes, and overseeing the contract release process.
• Supervise three Assignment Associates and manage the central office front desk.
• Responsible for customer service, area procedures, central office phone account, email account, and resolving student/parent/constituent complaints and issues.
• Provide projections and management of occupancy needs and capacity changes in accordance with departmental and University strategic plans and fluctuations in applications and enrollment.
• Identify and develop housing alternatives when occupancy exceeds capacity or vacancies are anticipated. Coordinate the placement of floors and beds for various resident-student populations.
• Participate in the creation and adjustment of room rates.
• Work collaboratively with Campus Living & Learning staff and campus partners, such as program directors, to ensure occupancy needs are met through training, participation in recruitment events, and developing processes for students to successfully navigate the housing process to meet their needs.
