Ramapo College is currently operating under the RamaPro model which is a pilot program allowing for a remote component to work schedules where operations support that model.
TERMS/COMPENSATION:
- The position is a temporary seven-week position that runs from June 27, 2022 to August 11, 2022.
- Salary is $15 per hour.
- The EOF Summer Staff Coordinator will be expected to work up to 29 hours per week.
- Evenings and some weekends required.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of EOF, the EOF Summer Staff Coordinators assists with the overall coordination of the EOF Summer Studies Institute, the five-week summer bridge program for incoming EOF scholars. The EOF Summer Staff Coordinators assists with the oversight of, academic support, leadership programming, career development, and residential components that target the mission and goals of the EOF Summer Studies Institute. This is an on-campus position. Housing and meals are covered by the program.
We are hiring for two Summer Staff Coordinators with the following focus:
- Residence Life
- Academic Support
DUTIES:
- Assists with the supervision, training, and evaluation of the student Supplemental Instruction Leaders and Success Mentors.
- Oversees delivery and serves as lead point person for summer programming and events.
- Responsible for daily administrative functions to include updating and compiling daily reports.
- Coordinates the selection process for project volunteers and supervises volunteers.
- Assists with the documentation records of event arrangements to include correspondence, promotional materials, programs and budget materials.
- Assists office manager with main office related duties.
- Assists with the preparation of area budgets, secures all budgetary approvals, arranges for disbursement of funds to cover project expenses and completes expenditure reports.
- Attends and supervises selected weekday and possible weekend events.
- Prepares written agendas and conducts programming-related staff meetings.
- Constructs weekly reports and forwards to supervisor.
- Attends periodic in-service training sessions, conferences, workshops/seminars.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Rising college seniors and/or college graduates are encouraged to apply.
EXPERIENCE:
- Event planning and program development experience/knowledge is required
- One-year work experience in student staff supervision and training is preferred.
- Experience in student services, first year experience, student development, programming, residence life, multi-cultural affairs is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge about the EOF Program and summer studies institute is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills a must and a demonstrated commitment to student success a plus.
- Excellent written, leadership, management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task in demanding work environment
- Presentation skills a plus
