About the Role
Boston University Enrollment Service Operations (ESO) seeks a Business Systems Analyst. The Business Systems Analyst works closely with Enrollment & Student Administration (ENSA) senior leadership to support the implementation of the new student information system (Campus Solutions). This highly versatile role streamlines and documents operations and gathers requirements for process improvement and business continuity. This pivotal role, supports functional and technical system implementation deadlines. It will also collect requirements and support ENSA Organizational changes related to the new system business processes.
The Business Systems Analyst supports 11 different offices across the Enrollment & Student Administration Unit, as well as the Student Information System program team. The role has significant interaction and leadership with individuals and teams, such as subject matter experts, mangers, and technical staff in support of the work. This role reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Student Information Systems, Communications, & Project Management.
The Business Process Analyst's primary duties include:
- Gathering and presenting opportunities and business impact to executive and administration groups;
- Collecting and analyzing data;
- Documenting requirements and procedures;
- Supporting implementation functions including training and testing;
- Identifying tasks and effort to support projects
- Facilitating cross functional initiatives, and meetings
- Generating documentation and supporting process implementation.

BU Enrollment Service Operations plays a critical role in ENSA's mission; enrolling and retaining students, by supporting and designing operational and technical infrastructure to support the student user experience.

About the Candidate
A Bachelor's degree is required for this position. We are seeking a candidate who:
- Has five to eight years of experience
- Has experience leading cross functional teams and projects, especially with senior leadership;
- Has experience with process improvement;
- Possesses excellent analytical and communication skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail;
- Can demonstrate process analysis and facilitation skills;
- Has the ability to learn and use software tools;
- Is comfortable taking initiative, working independently, and handling multiple simultaneous projects and assignments and;
- Is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
A Master's degree is preferred. Work experience in a college or university student service area is strongly preferred, but not required. Candidates should be prepared to submit work samples upon request as a component of the interview process.
