The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Coordinator Diversity Recruitment position. This position will be located in the Memphis, TN area. We are seeking candidates who can contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.
The University and Region
UTK is the state's flagship, land-grant university. We are a Research 1 university with 11 colleges and more than 30,000 students. The Division
The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 170 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, University Registrar, EM Communications, and Research & Analytics. The Office of Enrollment Management is committed to our Vision, Mission and Values. The Position:
Develop and coordinates strategic recruitment initiatives, designed to attract competitive in state and out of state students first time freshman and transfer students. Provide ongoing training, support, and leadership in the strategic planning for in state travel recruitment. Work closely with the regional based first year recruitment, diversity, and transfer staff to ensure recruitment goals are met and contribute positively to overall enrollment goals for the University. This position will be in Memphis with a primary territory of West Tennessee. This position will strategically focus on diversity efforts in the broadest sense (racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, geographic, first-gen, socioeconomic, rural, etc.). Represents the university at on and off-campus recruitment events, and reviews applicants for admission to the university. This position will also work closely with the Associate Director Diversity Recruitment out of the Memphis office. The position will also work on the Diversity Recruitment and Outreach Team to lead the UT Division of Enrollment Management in executing inclusive admission and outreach efforts. This position will reside in the area of Memphis, TN area.
