Responsibilities:

• Provide clear and accurate financial aid information to all members of the community and counsel prospective students and applicants on financing a graduate school degree; Assist students with the financial aid application process; Conduct needs analysis in order to develop and offer financial aid packages
• Oversee all aspects of the Direct Loan, Grad Plus and TEACH Grant programs etc. including origination and reconciliation, support the entrance and exit counseling process where necessary, managing disbursements on EdExpress and data transmissions through EdConnect; Analyzing documentation in the verification process
• Prepare and submit required financial aid reports/data to appropriate state and federal agencies and to internal audiences at Bank Street; Manage all student financial aid records and support Financial Aid Director in responding to auditors, as required
• Administer all scholarships including endowed and restricted accounts, working with the College’s Development and External Relations and Business Offices
• Monitor student and Student Service Advisor questions that are received, and ensure that all queries are answered timely
• Participate in Orientations, Open Houses, Registration events, Graduation activities, etc.
• Support Financial Aid Director on ad hoc projects, where necessary

Basic Qualifications:

• 2-3 years’ experience as Financial Aid counselor/administrator
• Proficiency with COD, NSLDS, MS Excel and MS Word is required
• Graduate school experience preferred
• Experience with PowerFAIDS preferred
• Bachelors degree preferred
