Stanford University has an immediate opening for a Program Coordinator in the
Office for Inclusion, Belonging and Intergroup Communication (IBIC), a collaborative office that engages students and those who work with students in continuous learning and praxis toward social justice, liberation, and a sense of belonging amongst the diverse members of the Stanford University community. This position is integral to the development and implementation of educational experiences that reduce social harm and catalyze a campus culture that is vibrant, diverse, and equitable.

In this role, you will: - Administer and support assigned programs. Facilitate workshops and trainings across campus on behalf of IBIC. Assist in workshop development.
- Assist with efforts to educate students and campus partners on diversity, inclusion, belonging and equity (DIBE), through experiential workshops, classes, and learning activities.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of various IBIC programs.
- Build out additional tools, content, and offerings for students and campus partners based on our learning strategy.
- Align our DIBE efforts with other internal learning initiatives that impact our student population.
- Conduct intake meetings and consultations to maintain correspondence with various departments on campus and to assess partnership opportunities, collaborations, and potential training and workshops across the university.
- Provide first line response to identify students in crisis and refer to appropriate resources, as needed.
- Engage with students and refer to appropriate resources, as needed.
- Liaise and manage relationships with a network of partners providing DIBE content and facilitation.
- Ensure quality, effectiveness and accountability to our campus culture, standards, and processes.
- Collect and analyze data from multiple sources including student feedback, surveys, trend reports, and data analytics.
- Advise manager and team on policy updates and provide recommendations for implementation of changes.
- May develop marketing materials and strategies for program activities and outreach functions. Assist in planning and developing webinars, education fairs and other functions.
- May coordinate the administration of financial processes such as financial reimbursements and data entry.
- Provide support in hiring and onboarding new student staff.
To be successful in this role, you will bring: - A bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Knowledge and embodiment of diversity and inclusion best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals and groups from various identities, cultures, and backgrounds
- Demonstrated facilitation experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to connect and work in community with a wide range of stakeholders
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Relevant computer systems/technology experience
- Understanding of financial transactions
- Customer service skills
- Ability to learn and understand compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations
In addition, preferred requirements include: - Experience working with college-age students or in community youth programming
- Advanced experience in diversity & inclusion and/or social justice programming
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in planning and problem solving under general direction from the supervisor
Working Conditions: - Hybrid work schedule requiring on-site work 2-3 days per week.
- Able to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
