We are seeking a Program Coordinator / Success Coach  who will oversee our new College On-Ramps Program designed to create early on-ramps to college for Paterson high school students. This individual will manage the day-to-day operations of the program, which will include conducting holistic coaching meetings and managing summer bridge opportunities. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with community organizations and educational institutions to support the needs of the program.

This is a full-time, grant-funded, administrative position.

Examples of Duties

1. Collaborating with Paterson Board of Education representatives as needed to scale and sustain the program
2. Advising and registering students
3. Teaching the College Success course/ seminar to high school students
4. Recruiting high schools and students to participate in the program
5. Using a continuous improvement framework to assess program operation and develop strategies to improve; the program in response to students' needs
6. Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Master's degree in relevant field required
2. Three years of experience in higher education, with at least two years in student services capacity such as advising preferred
3. Experience managing staff in a college setting (including student workers) preferred
4. Experience working with low-income, historically under-represented students, with demonstrated passion for helping these students succeed
5. Sensitivity to students' needs and cultural competency
6. Comfort with adapting to changing circumstances and creatively addressing challenges
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills
8. Ability to work with staff across various departments in the college
9. Experience with data management preferred
