Big Sandy Community and Technical College invites applications for the full-time position of Student Affairs Assistant III in the Financial Aid.

This is a defined-term, contract position.  

This position will be located on the Prestonsburg Campus, however, may work on other campuses to support departmental needs.

The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service while providing financial aid counseling  to students with regard to various types of educational funding; probation and suspension; satisfactory academic progress; SAP appeals; return to Titlve IV issues; completion of forms; consortium agreements; acts as a liasion for students with other internal and external offices.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

• Intake and process documentation, assist students with verification process. Review and upload student verification documents accurately and according to policy using OnBase.
•  Financial counseling to any student taking out a loan.  
•  Conduct financial aid presentations on campus and at off site localions including high schools.
•  Provide student with special circumstance form and counseling regarding recalculations and dependency appeals. 
• Work queries as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associates Degree with one year of related experience preferred or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
