Performs functions of assisting students online, in person, and over the phone in a department office.
Primary Duties Performed:
Performs duties necessary to ensure exceptional student service and assists with a diverse range of administrative support services in Advising.
Contact with students, prospective students, parents & families in Advising.
Regularly answers telephone calls for STLCC Advising.
Assists students with registration for courses via remote virtual registration online lab as well as in-person (in line with health guidelines & student demand).
Schedules student appointments with advisors.
Assists students with STLCC email login, application to STLCC, and general admissions/registration questions.
Operates computer, telephone, printer, student information system (Banner), Mitel phone system, scheduling software (Navigate), Microsoft Office, and Blackboard.
High school diploma or equivalent and over three (3) months of relevant full-time general clerical experience.
Customer service and problem solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others, accurately identify a situation, and respond appropriately. Ability to handle a high volume of phone, electronic and face-to-face communication. Ability to follow multi-step directions and adapt to new technology and changing environments.
$15.00 Per Hour
