Marlborough School, an independent, college preparatory school in Los Angeles for 530 young women in grades 7-12, seeks a dynamic Middle School Science instructor to join the faculty for the 2022–2023 school year.

This position would focus on middle school physical science, especially chemistry and physics as taught in our 8th grade course. Our students develop a strong conceptual understanding through the exploration of essential questions, hands-on activities and lab experiences, and real-world data collection. Assignments and activities develop the ability to manipulate equations, graph and analyze data, exercise critical-thinking skills, and create and perform laboratory procedures. This course is taught by a team of middle school educators that work closely together to assure students in all sections have a consistent experience.

The ideal candidate should possess, at minimum, a B.A. in a physical science and between three to six years of middle school teaching experience. Experience with robotics is a plus.
