The Senior Assistant Director of Access Programs plays a critical role in the pipeline strategy for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The person in this position is responsible for supporting access programs managed by the Pipeline and Access team; these programs include: the College Access Leadership Institute, College Connections, Collegiate Seminar, and the Community College Transfer Opportunity Program. The incumbent will support the strategic planning for the teams higher education access initiatives. The Senior Assistant Director will oversee the development of the College Access Leadership Institute (CALI) and ensure effective program delivery. The incumbent will oversee the planning and execution of the College Connections initiative. The Sr. Assistant Director will manage the planning of the Collegiate Seminar program alongside the Collegiate Seminar Director. For the Community College Transfer Opportunity Program (CCTOP), the Sr. Assistant Director will facilitate recruitment information sessions; coordinate new student orientation and transitional seminars; provide individual student advisement for admissions, academic, and financial support; and, assist in event planning for CCTOP orientation, graduation and partner meetings.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: 3+ years of professional level experience in college access work. Must include experience giving presentations and working with K-12 students.
Preferred Experience: 5+ years of professional level experience in college/university access programming, supporting first-generation, low-income students, or working with community college students or community college-bound students.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Outstanding communication, interpersonal, writing, and public speaking skills. Ability to represent the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Enrollment Management, and NYU successfully and independently, and to provide leadership within a team setting.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience with virtual engagement technologies and customer relationship management tools.
