The Enrollment Services team at Anoka Technical College provides assistance to students from initial inquiry through graduation, with a primary focus on student success. The Retention Specialist works as a team member in Enrollment Services in conjunction with Otto Bremer Scholarship support to advance the receipt of technical degrees, diplomas, and certificates by improving persistence and degree completion. In this position, you will provide additional support services, including financial aid assistance, academic mentoring, and incentive awards to encourage participation in support activities. You will assist with coordinating students through the college experience and will work to support retention of traditional, PSEO, concurrent, non-traditional and at-risk students. Additional responsibilities include working closely with faculty advisors regarding student progress with course completion, conduct academic and personal support groups and workshops for grant program participants, conduct goal setting meetings and monitor student grades.
This assignment is limited up to six months.

Oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with students and faculty
