Reporting to the Senior Specialist and Assistant Registrar, the Grade & Archive Specialist is expected to have an in-depth understanding of University policy & procedure, regulation, and systems associated with grades, records/retention, document management, and archiving functions for all schools of NYU. With peak period support from the Assistant Registrar and other Specialists, this Specialist manages all grading and record keeping operations for the Office of the Registrar and serves as an information resource to the entire University. The Specialist maintains current knowledge of SIS updates and functionality and regularly reviews office policies and procedures to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely management of University data and resources. This position will train other staff and school users in University policy and procedure, and utilization of University systems.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: 3+ years relevant experience in data maintenance/management and office operations in a college or university office (with Enrollment Management functions), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and student information systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in conflict or difficult situations within diverse organizations. Ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, staff, parents, professional colleagues, and the public. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to promote a cooperative work environment.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong preference for proficiency in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Perceptive Content. Strong preference for proficiency in query and report writing. Demonstrated ability to lead a team to facilitate procedural change. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of FERPA and higher education records retention and best practice.
