POSITION: Executive Director of Enrollment Management

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is a full-time, 12 month position.
NDSCS is seeking an Executive Director of Enrollment Management that will strategically provide direction, oversight and coordination for Admission, Financial Aid, and Records. This leadership position reports to the VP for Student Affairs and is responsible for management and coordination of all enrollment management-related programs, services and activities - including departmental human and fiscal resource management, designing, implementing, and evaluating programs and the operational systems focused on attracting, admitting, enrolling and retaining students. The EDEM will be tasked with reviewing necessary data and information to formulate effective, strategic, College-wide enrollment management plans/goals. Additionally, this position will focus on building relationships with all stakeholders while ensuring compliance with applicable policies. This position will provide direct leadership for Admission and oversees leadership in Financial Aid, Registrar/Veterans’ Affairs; while providing input to effectively align marketing, communication, and new student orientation with Enrollment Management goals.
This position requires occasional overnight travel; this position’s primary location is NDSCS Wahpeton, with responsibility for personnel at NDSCS-Fargo.

Master’s degree from an accredited institution in communication, marketing, higher education or other closely related field
At least 5 years of professional experience in higher education (or closely related field).
Capacity to think strategically and to work creatively to meet established goals.
Proven ability to supervise and motivate staff: hiring, training, orientation, evaluation, coaching, managing meetings, policy development, and establishing goals.
Proven ability to make strategic, data-informed decisions.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including persuasive presentation abilities to audiences of all sizes.
Self-directed and intrinsically motivated to succeed.
Verified interpersonal and relationship-development skills with diverse individuals and organizations.
5+ years of direct experience in Enrollment Management areas (financial aid, admission, registrar/records) of non-profit regionally accredited college/university.
Communication, marketing, and/or public relations experience.
Experience with financial aid regulations and procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of higher education laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
Demonstrated success in increasing student enrollment.
Proven ability to foster equity and inclusion, and create a diverse, inclusive work environment.
Familiarity with current issues impacting higher education and awareness of their effects, especially as they relate to a comprehensive 2-year college.
