The Assistant Dean of Student Affairs will report directly to the Campus Dean and be responsible for assuring the delivery of timely and quality services in Registration, Bursar, Financial Aid, Admissions, and Student Counseling.
Education, Preparation, and Training
Minimum of a Master's degree in a student services related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in student services.
Higher education experience preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop supportive interdepartmental outreach programs targeted to at-risk student groups.
Supervise the daily operations of the Registrar, Bursar, Financial Aid, and Admissions.
Develop programs to educate school departments in identifying and referring students for academic and counseling services.
Supervise and assure HIPAA-compliance with all student records.
Serve on various committees as assigned by the Campus Dean.
Participate in community activities with medical school departments as well as student services as required.
The work schedule requires being available in the evening, weekends, and as required.
Accepts other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Campus Dean.

The Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM) opened on 125th in Harlem in 2007 with a mission that emphasizes the practice of medicine in underserved communities. In 2014 the TouroCOM Middletown, NY campus was established to help serve medical needs of the Hudson Valley. The TouroCOM Middletown campus in...cludes state-of-the-art classrooms, clinical training facilities, medical simulation Lab, and student dorm rooms. TouroCOM faculty use an innovative “flipped” classroom approach to deliver a curriculum that emphasizes clinical application in an active classroom setting, peer-peer learning, and formative assessment as part of the learning process.
