Niagara County Community College is seeking a part-time Academic Probation Program Administrator reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Student Services. This position is responsible for working with the appropriate members of the Academic Affairs and Student Services units of the college on supporting students in this cohort, ensuring their academic barriers are addressed, and investigating course specific success strategies.

Typical Work Activities:
Monitors academic reporting systems for early alert to students' performance and academic risk.
Identifies academic probation students' behaviors which indicate a lack of academic success strategies and create plans tailored to meet individual student needs.
Prepares and implements intervention plans to work with students on academic probation by connecting them with student support and other resources to improve academic standing.
Provides timely feedback to students about their academic progress
Assists and refers students for academic skills assistance, including tutoring, counseling, career guidance and targeted student resources.
Assists students in developing long term academic plans to improve G.P.A. and achieve Good Academic Standing.
Works closely with instructional faculty in monitoring academic progress within current courses and identifying strategies to support achievement.
Works collaboratively with ACE Coordinator and Success Coaches in coordinating academic support services.
Ability to work with, and teach a student population with diverse backgrounds. Must be able to speak to groups; have strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal communication skills; have ability to work collaboratively in a team; have ability to communicate verbally and in writing; have ability to relate to and to interact with students, faculty, staff, and administration; be available to work evenings and weekends as needed; have physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position (e.g., able to lift, carry displays).
Bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in a Higher Education Administration or Student Personnel Administration graduate program.
One semester or equivalent paid work experience or internship working with students in a higher education setting.
