Under the supervision of the Director of the School of Social Work, the MSW Program Director will have the responsibility for leading and further shaping this innovative MSW program to ensure that it is implemented in a way that reflects the School of Social Work mission and values.
The MSW Director will be responsible for facilitating day-to-day operations of the MSW program, including but not limited to: academic and student affairs; admissions; curriculum and program creation, implementation, and evaluation; maintaining accurate enrollment and matriculation data; developing and maintaining relationships with off-campus site and dual degree partners; representing the School at program site locations; development and management of data-informed strategies for program growth; providing the Associate Director for Teaching and Instruction with MSW course schedules for all campus sites; overseeing certificate programs; supervising the Assistant Director of the MSW Program, recruitment specialist, and MSW program staff; facilitating resolution of student issues; creating and supporting a student culture of excellence and inclusion; and administrative tasks as assigned. Participation in marketing, academic recruitment, outreach, and admissions is required.
Provide vision, leadership, and administrative direction to the program’s operation and development;
Oversee and facilitate annual admissions process;
Direct MSW Program academic and student affairs to support and retain students;
Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive progress and prioritize across multiple teams and work streams;
Oversee the planning, scheduling, curriculum, accreditation, student appeal, and program development aspects of the MSW program;
Ensure the development of new initiatives, increase student enrollment, and additional resources to meet the strategic objectives of the School, College and University;
Conduct an ongoing assessment of the program’s effectiveness and propose necessary adjustments based on the assessment results;
Help establish a student culture where diversity is encouraged and where students learn to respect differences, take responsibility for their actions, develop their professional roles and exercise leadership;
Maintain compliance with University, College, School, and CSWE standards and requirements;
Participate in School, College, and University events, meetings, and community events as required;
Teach as assigned by the Associate Director of Teaching and Instruction;
Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director.

Masters -Social Work
Master’s degree in social work.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-master’s degree experience in academic settings.
Demonstrated administrative, team leadership, and supervisory experience.
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and student success.
Experience with curriculum development, review, and assessment.
Aptitude for, and experience with, gathering, assembling, correlating, and analyzing data to facilitate problem solving in collaboration with staff and faculty.
Strong communication and facilitation skills.
Ability to lead and work collaboratively with teams.
The ability to manage shifting priorities and handle numerous time sensitive projects and deadlines.
Commitment to social work values and ethics.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally.
PhD in Social Work;
experience with student affairs;
experience with CSWE re-affirmation;
history of progressively greater administrative and supervisory experience.
