The LGBTQ+ Outreach Coordinator will serve as a campus resource for navigating issues specific to LGBTQ+ students. In addition to providing programmatic and resource support to students, the outreach coordinator will advise faculty and staff on matters related to relevant needs of LGBTQ+ students. The LGBTQ+ Outreach Coordinator will communicate with and among the Barnard community around LGBTQ+ issues. This position is a part-time role, with a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week.

Required Qualification Summary:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in a related field that will serve to enhance education, awareness, and visibility of LGBTQ+ initiatives is preferred.
Demonstrated experience working with people who identify as LGBTQ+ and a history of leadership and involvement with LGBTQ+ community.
Ability to understand and articulate student concerns that includes the intersections of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, and other significant aspects of identity.
Knowledge of current literature and research in LGBTQ issues, gender diversity, and gender identity issues.
