Western Kentucky University seeks a seasoned enrollment professional to join institutional leadership as the inaugural Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment & Student Experience, this position will work to cultivate the next evolution of this institution's comprehensive enrollment management strategy. The Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management is responsible for the coordination, supervision, and leadership of the Enrollment Management departments within the Division of Enrollment & Student Experience (ESE). As a member of the ESE team, the AVP will collaborate with the other senior staff of the division, and the Deans of each respective college, to provide for the overall cultivation of new student enrollment, retention, and engagement of WKU students. The integrity of the team leadership model provides cross-collaboration opportunities and professional development across the traditional roles of enrollment management and student affairs professional responsibilities. The AVP will provide the leadership and coordination of the marketing, recruitment, cultivation, and matriculation of new WKU undergraduate students annually.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities for this position are both customary, but not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based upon management discretion and/institutional need.
Leadership & Supervision
Supervise the Departments of WKU Admissions and Student Financial Assistance.
Collaborate with the development and facilitate the institution of the Strategic Enrollment Plan for Western Kentucky University.
Develop and cultivate data analysis for the assessment and forecasting of enrollment progress and opportunities.
Train and enrich the skills and talents of enrollment personnel for the advancement of recruitment and retention of new and continuing students at the institution.
Coordinate the leadership teams of enrollment departments to build and empower success in enrollment management.
Serve the Division of ESE as a member of the Leadership Team, a peerage of senior leadership in the division managing the enrollment, retention, and engagement of students throughout their experience as a Hilltopper.
Participate in and lead divisional meetings and development.
Partner and engage with the Administrative Leadership of the institution, the College Deans, and their associated personnel on the recruitment and marketing of academic programs.
Partner and coordinate recruitment marketing with the institution's Communications and Marketing division for the development of communication plans, digital advertising, marketing collateral production, and distribution.
Supervise the administration of 50+ Full-time personnel across the Departments of WKU Admissions and Student Financial Assistance.
Manage the budgetary planning and fiduciary responsibility of these departments, including development, purchasing, fiscal planning, and payroll.
Evaluate and contract with software and services external to the institution in the support of enrollment management.
Responsible for the recruitment, selection, training, evaluating, and development of professional staff.
Evaluate the efficacy of the origin of a Department of Enrollment Operations within enrollment management to curate and analyze data, assess operations, and provide technology support within the roles and software of enrollment management and the student experience.
Manage the communication delivery of the enrollment cycles.

Perform other duties as assigned.
A Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, MBA, or related field required. A terminal doctoral degree preferred. Seven (7) or more years of supervisory experience required.
Significant work experience in admissions, financial aid, enrollment management preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of enrollment development, recruitment strategy, financial assistance, and higher education administration preferred.

Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations
Proficiency with software applications appropriate to use in an office environment, and the facilitation of a client relationship management platform
