The Marketing department works in close partnership with the Student Services department, which serves as the main point of contact for student interaction and support regarding Extension courses and programs. The department focuses on engaging with prospective students and generating new business for UCSC Silicon Valley Extension.
Uses sales concepts in performing non-complex sales activities, participating in events designed to promote awareness within the organization and to the general public of services, programs, or products. Demonstrates developing understanding of industry practices and organization policies and procedures.
Salary Information: $26.34 - $31.13 / Hourly. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.

40% - Manages the sales funnel/cycle process; follows up on marketing leads with the goal of meeting identified goals; manages the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and processes; provides sales information and status of sales efforts and/or the implementation of plans and strategies; provides recommendations to management.
20% - Plans regular and special promotional events designed to promote awareness of the department and / or services, programs or products within the organization or to the general public.
15% - Provides ongoing status and feedback regarding customers/potential customers by discussing their needs and explaining how these needs could be met by specific products and services; investigates new business opportunities.
10% - Collaborates with marketing staff on marketing and sales strategies and planning of major promotions and/or promotional events. Makes recommendations on programs to improve sales efforts / results.
10% - Provides direct support to department leadership on special projects.
5% - Other projects as assigned.
Demonstrated written communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Working knowledge of the organization, including its achievements, mission, vision, goals, objectives and infrastructure.
Working knowledge of the organization's products and services and related industries.
Working knowledge of a CRM tool (e.g. HubSpot, SalesForce, Marketo, etc.)
Proven sales experience and ability to manage pipeline, forecast and achieve sales targets, ability to improve the sales process.
