Director of Admissions and member of the enrollment management team, reporting directly to the Assistant Dean for Admissions. The Director of Admissions will collaborate with the Assistant Dean for Admissions on the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and recruitment plans to meet enrollment goals of the osteopathic medical college, as well as all current and future graduate programs. The Director of Admissions provides leadership and direction in developing initiatives focused on increasing the numbers of diverse and academically qualified students and coordinating efforts with the appropriately involved departments on campus (Marketing/Financial Aid/Registrar/Institutional Advancement/Student Affairs).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads and oversees professional support staff on the DUCOM admissions team. Oversees all admissions activities at DUCOM including recruitment, admissions applications, processes and procedures, applicant communications, interviewing and selection, and interviewer training.
Annually reviews all admissions policies and procedures and outcomes with the Admissions Committee and the DUCOM Senior Leadership.
Annually develops admissions budgets for the department.
Develops and implements effective recruitment and enrollment strategies including, but not limited to, on-campus events (open houses, information sessions), college visits and off-campus community outreach initiatives.
Effectively implements and utilizes communication tools in alignment with University Policies such as social media posts, direct mailings, fliers, website development, etc.
Develops and oversees the execution of strategic recruitment and communications plans to ensure successful enrollment goals for the COM.
Represents DUCOM at education fairs, business fairs, and networking events. Meets with pre-health advisors and speaks to health professions students at undergraduate institutions, MBS programs, as well as regional and national pre-health advisor conferences.
Oversees the management and documentation of all aspects of the admissions process including applicant counseling, screening and evaluation of credentials, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
Directs and generates the preparation of statistical reports for DUCOM, professional organizations, accrediting agencies, and external marketing resources.
Establishes and maintains relationships with advisors/contacts at key institutions. Develops pipeline programs with Historically Black Colleges and Universities, mission-aligned faith-based colleges and universities, regional middle/high schools and other institutions where pipelines are determined to be of value.
Establishes protocols and participates in the interview process for DUCOM. Develops and oversees a process for messaging and communications related to admissions to ensure streamlined communications process.
Works with University Departments and DUCOM leaders to develop and maintain promotional and recruitment materials, both print and online, including the appropriate DUCOM web pages.
Collects and maintains statistics and generates reports as necessary to demonstrate progress/growth of enrollment goals and outcomes. Interprets enrollment data to help establish enrollment goals and facilitate effective strategic planning.
Represents DUCOM professionally in all interactions and with entities related to admissions. Maintains and develops professional relations in AACRAO, COMAO, AACOM.
Oversees the protection of confidential applicant information within the guidelines of FERPA.

Bachelor degree required.
At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in graduate and medical school admissions and/or higher education administration.
Ability to work in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
Experience working with diverse populations within the community.
Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree.
Eight (8) years’ experience in administrative management or leadership position in a medical school.
Experience with a holistic review approach to admissions and the multiple mini interview process.
