The Associate Vice President of Learner Success is responsible for leading learner and faculty success, academic, and technical program efforts to strategically meet demands of general education and workforce development for KCTCS and the KCTCS System Office.
Support Colleges and faculty to design new academic program delivery methods and provide innovative leadership and research into new models of work-based learning and flexible programs, including learner support models.
Provide support of shared governance, including Senate Council, faculty promotions and appeals, and faculty communications.
Research, develop, and support academic, dual credit, transfer, technical program, and curriculum development and alignment to meet KCTCS strategic plan goals.
Collaborate with Workforce Solutions, Career Services, and Student Services staff to deliver employer-focused training interventions and encourage best practices that promote an employment-conscious program of study.
Supervise, develop, hire, support, and evaluate a team of academic and faculty/learner/college support Executive Directors and associated staff, peer teams, workgroups, and committees in support of the KCTCS Strategic and Action Plans.
Develop partnerships with State Cabinets, KDE, CPE, and organization leadership and represent KCTCS at appropriate meetings--communicate information attained or initiatives developed across all appropriate System Office and College channels.
Lead and support the review and redevelopment of course and program competencies for consistency in transfer and in meeting employer skill requirements to ensure learner success.
Support the development and administration of grants appropriate to support the mission of the department and System. Develop and oversee grant and other external resource development to support KCTCS initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Master's Degree and six (6) years of position-related experience, or equivalent.
Background in Higher Education, Workforce Development, Economic Development, or Public Policy and Administration.
Doctoral Degree and five (5) years of position-related experience, or equivalent.
Faculty experience preferred. Experience in a College or with colleges/universities preferred. Applicant should be discreet, entrepreneurial, innovative, and collaborative with high communication (written/verbal) skills and strong technology skills.
KY law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
