The Graduate School of Arts and Science is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director to join Graduate Enrollment Services. This individual will manage Graduate School of Arts and Science (GSAS) admissions and financial aid programs for new and continuing students; determine eligibility for funding in accordance with School's and policies and procedures. Advise new and continuing students on related issues; interpret School's policies and procedures to new and current students, faculty and administrators; analyze and recommend new policies and procedures to the Dean; implement changes. Analyze and make recommendations on recruitment and marketing strategies; produce GSAS Open House and other recruiting events; write and edit promotional materials. Evaluate non-degree international students' academic credentials and approve number of credits transferred; advise prospective international applicants on their academic credentials. Manage the Foreign Language Area Studies (FLAS) fellowship program, the German Academic Exchange Service program, and the non-degree visiting students admissions process.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree and
Preferred Education: Master's degree
Required Experience: 3 years' relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience with advising students, interpreting policies, and planning and implementing special events. Experience with admission and/or financial aid operations at the college level.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, organizational and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment and be a team player. Ability to oversee staff. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of MS Access, SIS, and RAMIS.
