Coordinate the daily operations of tutoring services online, at the West Windsor and James Kerney learning centers, and other locations, under the supervision of the Director of the Testing & Learning Centers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Work with director, part-time coordinators, and tutors to maintain daily coverage of all physical learning centers, online services, and other tutoring locations/areas (may include occasionally filling in for tutors as needed). • Ensure part-time coordinators and tutors are at their designated locations/areas (both in-person and online) during shift times. • Record and track student visits via TutorTrac and various spreadsheets. • Field emails, phone calls, inquiries, and requests from students, faculty, and staff. • Select appropriate tutors for students based on student need and tutor expertise. • Prepare schedules for online tutoring services, physical learning centers, and other tutoring areas in collaboration with director and part-time coordinators. • Train part-time coordinators and front desk staff on TutorTrac and departmental rules/procedures. • Help design and create informational materials (digital banners, posters, flyers, brochures, etc.) and oversee physical placement and replenishment around the West Windsor and James Kerney campuses, as well as digital placement online, especially in the interactive document listing online tutoring services and resources. • Organize departmental events. • Arrange and coordinate tutoring, study hall sessions, and study groups (as well as tracking and reporting) for special campus populations (athletes, veterans, etc.). • Represent department at meetings and events around the college, off-campus, and online. • Direct student workers in daily tasks. • Record and maintain departmental data via spreadsheets, databases, etc. • Maintain social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). • Assist director in tutor training and tutor supervision.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position assists in the supervision of the tutors at the various physical learning centers, online tutoring areas, and other tutoring locations at the college.
Minimum Required Experience: • 3 years of front-desk learning center experience • 3 years of TutorTrac experience • 4 years of relevant experience coordinating and organizing student support initiatives and events • 5 years of tutoring experience
