Reporting to the Director, this position will assist in the administration of programs and services offered through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion which supports the strategic goals of New England College.
Assist in coordinating campus-wide cultural programs and diversity training that foster cross-cultural engagement for all faculty, staff, and students;
Support the enrollment, orientation, and retention of students inclusive of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexuality, (dis) ability, nationality, military status, etc.;
Monitor the academic progress of students participating within the Passport First-Year Exploration Program and provide academic support;
Serve as a mentor, advocate, and provide advice for recognized cultural organizations;
Participation in campus committees and other department or division special events/programs;
Co-Chair the Diversity and Inclusion Student Advisory Council;
Manage the department social media campaigns.
Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Leadership or other relevant field;
In lieu of the Master’s degree, combination of Bachelor’s degree and exceptional experience may suffice.
Minimum two years of higher education experience preferred, successful experience with collegeaged individuals required;
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing cultural and social justice programs (preferred);
Demonstrated experience developing interventions that enhance the retention and academic success of traditional marginalized communities (preferred).
