Primary functions: This position will report to a staff supervisor in Academic and Student Affairs and will work closely with administration in that office and faculty teaching in the DVM curriculum.
50% - Provide administrative support for faculty course coordinators at the College of Veterinary Medicine – Scope of work includes verbal and written communications with faculty, students, instructors, and other relevant parties; basic management of Canvas course sites; basic use of documentation in Google Suites including Word, Excel (text and numerical functions), Google Drive
30% - Provide administrative support as above for faculty and staff to support teaching in the 2+2 program with South Dakota State University
20% - Participate in functions central to all staff in Academic and Students Affairs to support students in the College
Salary Range: $17.03 to $23.50/hour

Required Qualifications: Minimum high school degree or equivalent, and 2 years of related office and administrative work experience.Training and education may be substituted for some of the years of experience. Basic understanding of Canvas, Word / Excel (text and numerical functions), Google suites Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies Good communication skills (faculty, students, Disability Resource Center, ASA, house officers, departmental staff), willingness to participate in recommendations for course improvement Well-organized, independent worker but able to take direction as needed, comfortable working both in-person and remotely Responsive to faculty member needs within the scope of work
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in Canvas (instructor or admin level) Teaching training (review of examinations, grading)
