The Tufts University School of Medicine's Office of Public Health and Professional Degree Programs oversees the administrative operations of the medical school graduate programs, inclusive of admissions, registration, career services and general student services functions.
The Assistant Director of Admissions works with a professional Admissions team to fulfill the enrollment objectives set by the Dean for Public Health and Professional Degree Programs. S/he reads and evaluates applications for admission, participates in the selection process and serves on selection committee, conducts group information sessions for prospective students and represents the university at schools and college fairs during travel to assigned geographic recruitment territory and at alumni and other recruitment events. This individual participates in the development of recruitment strategies and manages specialized recruitment functions such as publications or social media plans. Primary responsibility for Public Health programs (campus-based and online, including dual degrees: MS/MPH, JD/MPH, DVM/MPH, DMD/MPH, MD/MPH, MBA dual degrees) and serves as primary liaison with education partners. Responsible for giving presentations about the PHPD programs, including virtual presentations. Prepares statistics for Admissions Committee(s) and other meetings that require statistical data. Additional responsibilities include preparing PowerPoint presentations as needed, providing informational updates for partner offices (e.g. Student Advisory and Health Administration, Office of International Affairs, etc.). Assists in the supervision of student workers and closely works with the Director and Assoc. Director in implementing processes for matriculation.
Bachelor's Degree and 2 - 5 years of directly related professional experience.
