Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Associate Director for Housing Administration is responsible for the comprehensive management of all processes and staff in Campus Living & Learning focused on housing assignments, residential technology, marketing and outreach, and front desk management. The Associate Director develops the department's occupancy management strategic plan in accordance with the department's mission and goals of residentially-based academic communities and throughout ongoing renovations. This individual also serves as a member of the department's leadership team and communicates effectively with a significant number of university constituents.
A Masters degree, three years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. Five years of experience are preferred. Additionally, prior supervisory experience is preferred as this position directly supervises two staff members and provide indirect supervision of student workers and additional staff.
What You Will Do
Provide strategic leadership for area including responsible for gathering, researching, and analyzing best practice programs and making recommendations for StarRez software updates, housing assignments, technology, and marketing, based on research and assessment.
Develop a long-term, multi-faceted occupancy management strategy. Proactively prepare proposals and reports documenting the impact of projected program changes, refurbishment progression, new construction, and changing new student numbers.
Work collaboratively with campus partners including Enrollment Management, Undergraduate Admissions, Cashier's Office, Student Financial Aid, Athletics, Office of Access, Learning & Accommodations, Center for Global Engagement, New Student Programs, etc.
Provide direction for departmental communication, marketing, and admissions tours in collaboration with Assistant Director for Housing Systems and Coordinator for Student Outreach. Ensure department communication (email, social media, text, etc.) is effectively reaching current and prospective students.
Work collaboratively with fellow members of department leadership team, Residence Hall Directors, and Living Learning Program Directors to ensure successful housing operations through the year, including student-driven processes such as move-in, billing, closedown, room moves, assignments, etc.
