Summary Reporting to the AVP of Marketing and Communications, the Director will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and digital initiatives that align with the overall Regis brand and help advance the strategic goals of the University.
Oversee the integration of digital initiatives on campus, including marketing enhancements for the Regis website and MyRegis app as well as digital campaigns, social marketing, and SEO/inbound strategy. Oversee the relationship with external digital marketing firms, including the University’s SEO and virtual tour partners, and the University’s marketing email and automation software.
Ensure that the content on the Regis website remains current, engaging, and accessible in addition to meeting brand standards. Work with the AVP on the development of a university content calendar and ensure that collateral is effectively integrated across Regis’s marketing channels and print materials.
Maintain the integrity of the University’s brand standards and style guide, ensuring the guide is a current representation of the Regis identity and that best practices are messaged out to community members in a consistent manner.
Lead the University’s weekly digital marketing strategies working group in order to increase the University’s digital footprint. Establish goals that align with the University’s undergraduate and graduate enrollment funnels and track progress in Google Analytics.
Ensure that the University’s external-facing collateral reflects modern standards of design and serves as a good representation of the Regis voice and brand identity.
Maintain key messaging and talking points in collaboration with department members and key stakeholders. Instruct the community on how to present the identity of Regis to external constituencies.
Work closely with key departments on campus to prioritize and deliver marketing materials, with an emphasis on enrollment recruitment strategies for undergraduate admission, graduate admission, and transfer admission as well as student affairs, donor engagement, institutional fundraising, and alumni relations.
Assist in developing the strategic goals for brand awareness and program-specific marketing and advertising initiatives across the University.
Serve as a member of the university-wide Communications Committee.
Perform other related duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications or English, required; master’s preferred with a required five to seven years of experience in strategic communications and marketing. Experience in a higher education setting, preferred.
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills for print, video and online media.
Experience designing and launching digital marketing campaigns.
Significant experience developing and directing multiple, innovative marketing and communications initiatives simultaneously.
Expert skills in the utilization of new online tools and technologies.
Ability to be a hands-on contributor who can prioritize competing tasks and be responsive to new environments.
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and active knowledge of existing and emerging digital and social media resources.
Excellent leadership, customer service, communication, and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to interact respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to uphold the University’s commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Normal office environment, not subject to extreme variations of temperature, noise, odors, etc.
Use of computer requiring eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.
Requires multiple over-nights and long distance travel to meetings and alumni events held regionally and nationally.
More than half of time spent in normal office setting.
