Coordinator of Academic Coaching assists individual students with academic concerns, contributes to the outreach and retention work of the AAC and coordinates all Academic Coaching. The coordinator manages the program details and works collaboratively throughout the university to identify opportunities, develop effective services, and communicate the services to students.
The person in this position will: 1) Manage all aspects of Academic Coaching services (formerly College Study Skills Coaching). Providing individual and small group coaching in study skills, time management, effective test taking, organizational skills, and other success strategies, recommending appropriate interventions for individual students to improve performance as needed and follow up to ensure that students are following through with recommendations, maintaining up-to-date student records and reports. 2) Manage the Academic Success Workshops (formerly managed by the Assistant Director for Academic Skills Instruction). Coordinate and promote academic success across various departments, institutional partners, and majors through presentations. 3) In conjunction with the Director of Academic Assistance, develop and implement assessment and evaluation plans, prepare reports, and provide data for departmental, college, and institutional reporting and planning needs. 4) Contribute to AAC marketing and communication efforts including social media and web page information updates.
A Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Must have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds. Experience working with adult learning principles; supervision and training; and office administration.
