Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Student Affairs for the School of Pharmacy, the Recruiter/Outreach Specialist is responsible for targeted recruitment, admissions application reviews, systems data inputs and maintenance, and admissions recommendations and feedback. The Recruiter. The recruiter develops and is responsible for a recruitment program that will successfully achieve a quality, culturally diverse student body to support and promote high academic achievement for classes in the School of Pharmacy and Physician Assistant Studies. Have the knowledge and understanding of today's contemporary admission and recruitment strategies.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
Develops, implements, and administers plans, programs, and events for general and targeted student recruitment in support of pharmacy/university enrollment goals.
Integrates a diverse and strategic communications strategy in collaboration with the marketing department geared toward specific student declared academic majors, career interests, and geographic factors.
Lead the development of recruitment materials to collaborate and provide input on print and online, for promotion of programs and develop an effective distribution plan. Work closely with the school's assigned marketing strategist to establish strategic marketing campaigns.
Plans, implements, and evaluates undergraduate and graduate programs and processes and determines possible partnerships with the school of pharmacy and the effectiveness of markets and strategies. Exercises independent judgment and uses census data and modeling tools to identify effective marketing plans and strategies to address specific populations.
Engage with prospective students from the inquiry stage through the enrollment stage. These interactions include but are not limited to, phone calls, emails, virtual meetings, information sessions, fair exhibitions, and walk-in visitors.
Serves in a collaborative role with internal and external stakeholders to identify targets and opportunities to attract and enroll underrepresented populations.
Participates in the assessment and evaluation of various admissions models.
Provides direct supervision and oversight of assigned recruitment activities.
Provide training and guidance to assigned staff as needed to improve admissions and recruitment operations.
Works collaboratively with the Administrative offices within the School of Pharmacy and Physician Assistant Students, Enrollment Management and Marketing to help increase pharmacy enrollment.
Thinks strategically about recruitment and building relationships with prospective students, high school guidance counselors, teachers, and schools.
Manages their enrollment territory, advise, recruit, and review the credentials of college seniors and transfer applicants for admission to the University of Saint Joseph School of Pharmacy's PharmD program.

Recruits undergraduate students from the University of Saint Joseph. Target the University's Pre-pharmacy club and academic programs to help increase pharmacy enrollment pipeline.
1-2 years of experience in recruitment, sales, or community outreach preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
Position requires frequent travel to various local, regional, and national colleges and universities.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Ability to present to diverse audiences.
