About the Role
Boston University Enrollment Service Operations (ESO) seeks a Business Process Analyst. The Business Process Analysts works as a member of the Business Process & Project Management team to bring significant process improvement and cross-functional project facilitation to student services and operations. This highly versatile role streamlines and documents operations and gathers requirements for effectiveness and continuity, and helps meet system implementation deadlines through pivotal roles in new system development and rollouts. It involves navigating a multitude of legacy and modern systems and unique work-arounds and characteristics.
The Business Process Analyst supports 10 different offices across the Enrollment & Student Administration Unit, as well as other University constituent groups. The role has significant interaction and leadership with individuals and teams, such as subject matter experts, mangers, and technical staff in support of the work. This role reports to the Director of Project Management & Process Improvement.
The Business Process Analyst's primary duties include:
Analyzing cross-functional processes and making recommendations;
Documenting requirements and procedures;
Developing and delivering training modules;
Writing project plans;
Facilitating cross functional initiatives, and;
Generating documentation and supporting process implementation.

Boston University Enrollment Service Operations is part of the Enrollment & Student Administration unit (ENSA). BU Enrollment Service Operations plays a critical role in ENSA's mission; enrolling and retaining students, by supporting and designing operational and technical infrastructure to support the student user experience.

About the Candidate
A Bachelor's degree is required for this position. We are seeking a candidate who:
Has experience leading cross functional teams and projects;
Has experience with process improvement;
Possesses excellent analytical and communication skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail;
Can demonstrate process analysis and facilitation skills;
Has the ability to learn and use software tools, and;
Is comfortable taking initiative, working independently, and handling multiple simultaneous projects and assignments.
Work experience in a college or university student service area is strongly preferred, but not required. Candidates should be prepared to submit work samples upon request as a component of the interview process.
