Assists students in the use of facility resources; advises students concerning resources and services.
Coordinates and oversees logistics for on-campus career days, job fairs, and other onsite recruiting programs.
Frequently assists students, employers, parents, and prospective students in gathering more information on career services and answering related questions.
Provides administrative support by answering calls and emails, distributing mail, scheduling meetings, and maintaining databases.
Performs data entry and compiles employment reports for analysis of employer hiring.
May train or supervise temporary staff.
Specific duties include:
Coordinates general office administrative duties: Answers the main phone line, schedules career advising appointments when online scheduling tools are not available. Manages and processes CSO staff and law students' travel reimbursements. Prepares materials and guides for students and CSO staff when needed. Updates the CSO database of alumni and student contacts, career information and job sources.
Supports career-related events: Creates communication materials, reserves rooms, completes safety requests, orders food, prepares supplies, obtains visitor parking, and secures authorization from panelists to be video-recorded.
Serves as primary initial contact for internal and external constituents: Greets and welcomes students, employers, alumni volunteers, and others and answers a broad range of questions. Builds and maintains an excellent rapport with students to create a welcoming, safe, and comfortable atmosphere. Responds to or directs inquiries appropriately and accurately by assessing the need(s) of the customer and taking the appropriate course of action whether that be immediate remediation or referral.
Manages job postings: Reviews and analyzes job announcements that the office receives each day and determines whether they are appropriate for posting on the law school's website and office communications platforms. Posts job postings on appropriate platforms. Advises employers on the most effective ways to reach candidates who are best suited for jobs they are offering and creates job postings.
High school diploma or GED.
2 years of experience in a related field.
2 years of experience in a professional office setting.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
