Summary of Duties:
Part of the University Marketing and Communications (UMC) leadership team, the Enrollment Management Marketing Director develops and executes an integrated enrollment management marketing strategy that reinforces the Washington State University (WSU) brand. Supporting the goals and objectives set by the WSU and the Office of Enrollment Management, this position manages the implementation of the enrollment marketing plan across digital and print channels, including central advertising, website and other digital platforms, collateral development, and social media efforts. This position has leadership responsibility at a system level as well as on the WSU Pullman campus.
The enrollment management marketing director role directs the marketing and communication efforts that:
Recruit and retain undergraduate students who will best benefit from a WSU education.
Drive awareness of financial aid opportunities, including state and university funding.
Support new students as they enroll, register for classes and apply to pursue a degree.
The Enrollment Management Marketing Director partners daily with the Office of the Provost and Enrollment Management, including Admissions and Recruitment, New Student Programs, Student Financial Services, Office of the Registrar and Enrollment Information Technology. This role also collaborates with Student Affairs to ensure the transition from confirmed to enrolled students is seamless.
The director must have a passion for team building and a strong commitment to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment. The selected candidate must also possess strong organizational and project management skills, as well as a proven ability to work in a matrixed environment.
This position will report to the assistant vice president for marketing and communications, working in close coordination with the enrollment management leadership team and the UMC leadership team.
Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and six (6) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, which has included at least three (3) years of managerial experience. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Education and experience can be tailored to fit the specific organizational entity/directorial assignment.
Proven success designing, managing and executing integrated marketing and communication campaigns, including experience with social media strategy and other digital marketing approaches.
Demonstrated experience administering and reporting on the results of marketing campaigns to internal stakeholders.

Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to communicate with tact, professionalism and respect .
Strong organizational and project management skills; proven ability to work with various constituencies in a matrixed environment.
Experience in enrollment management marketing in a higher education environment
