The Assistant Director, Operations supervises the daily operations of Baker University Center, Walter Hall Rotunda, and Galbreath Chapel. They manage Conference and Event Services student building staff and ensure that the student staff is monitoring the successful implementation of all meetings, conferences, and special events hosted in Conference and Event Services facilities.
Primary responsibilities: 1. Manage event operations and logistics including setups, teardowns, and event support in Baker University Center, Galbreath Chapel. and Walter Hall Rotunda; 2. Hire, schedule, and supervise student building staff in Baker University Center and other Conference and Event Services venues; 3. Deliver quality customer service to University constituents and external users; 4. Maintaining the facility in collaboration with Facilities Management by managing equipment, inventory, coordinating access control, and enforcing Environmental Health and Safety policy, practice or procedure.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business/Mgmt, Communications or related field. At least one (1) year of related work experience. At least one (1) year of management experience
Master's degree in College Student Personnel or related field preferred.
