The University’s Division of Student Affairs invites applications for the full-time, benefits eligible position of Assistant Director for the Office of Student Involvement. This position supports the academic success of students within the IWU community by utilizing student development, identity, and persistence theories to foster a holistic approach to our co-curricular engagement, through oversight of students engaged in leadership programs, registered student organizations, campus activities, and fraternity and sorority life.
Advisement of College Panhellenic Council (CPH); serve as primary advisor for the CPC, directly advising executive board members and meet to assess their leadership progress; advise and support the chapter leadership of the four National Panhellenic Conference chapters; build and develop educational and social programming opportunities; act as liaison between university and sorority housing corporations
Development, support and oversight of Registered Student Organizations (RSOs); oversee the success of 120+ RSOs on campus; designs, implements, and assesses workshops for students and advisors centered on increasing student engagement; maintain updated communication on protocols and procedures
Internal University programming; co-advise the Campus Activities Board (CAB) with Graduate Assistant and their 25+ annual programs; develop the student engagement/activities associated with IWU’s Annual Day of Giving
Develop and support of Leadership Programs/Recognition; enact the Do Good Leadership Program (First Year Student Leadership Initiative) in the fall semester; plan and implement the leadership development series in the spring semester
Co-supervise the Graduate Assistant for Student Involvement; assist in the recruitment, selection and training of. Oversee the onboarding and training of Graduate/Practicum Interns.
Master's Degree in student personnel, higher education administration, or related area is required
Minimum of 1 year of related experience in student affairs
