The Admissions Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Student Affairs Assistant III.
The primary responsibilities are:
Enter, process, and review admissions applications
Resolve issues related to the admissions
Provide general information to prospects and applicants
Communicate daily with applicants through mail, email, telephone, and in-person
Process high school transcripts, visiting student letters, college transcripts and any additional paperwork needed for Admissions.
Provide professional, quality custom service to all prospective, current, and former students as well as staff, faculty, and guests of the college
Serve as support to Director of Admission and Assistant Directors of Admissions
Serve as one of the primary assistants with CPE reporting and internal auditing report complete
Assist with processing incoming and outgoing mail.
Serve as back up to the front desk when needed.
Assist Admissions team with special events and high school visits as needed.
Additional tasks maybe requested as needed.
Salary: $30, 528 (annual)
Associate's degree and three years related experience, or equivalent are required. Preference will be given to individuals with a background in customer service and written communication. Some travel may be required.
Polished professional with outgoing attitude, be a team player and handle pressure with continuous change.
High level of proficiency with general office PC applications (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint) and comfort with learning new applications as required.
Demonstrated excellent organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills
Proven job diligence, dedication and attention to detail
Comfort and experience interfacing with various levels of staff and management, while working in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees and vendors
This position requires the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment, which consists of frequent contact with a diverse constituency of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
