The Senior Associate Director of Admissions for Diversity, Inclusion, and Outreach Recruitment (Sr. Assoc. Dir. DIOR) is a member of the leadership team in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with responsibility for creating strategies for effective recruitment and selection of the most talented first year class possible at the University. The Sr. Assoc. Dir. DIOR will develop strategies to recruit and enroll underrepresented and underserved students to the University. This individual will be a liaison with key constituent groups such as alumni boards, community-based organizations, and various academic and student affairs units on campus. The Sr. Assoc. Dir. DIO will chair an admission selection committee, will recruit and manage a specified recruitment territory and will represent the University at on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment events. The Sr. Assoc. Dir. DIOR will lead and supervise a team of at least three admissions staff and also student interns dedicated to outreach recruitment. The Sr. Assoc. Dir. DIOR will design and lead ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion training for admissions staff.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Direct Diversity, Inclusion, and Outreach Recruitment.Direct all aspects of the University's recruitment and yield activities for underrepresented students of color and those from low-income and first-generation backgrounds. This will include:
acting as departmental liaison with related campus offices such as Multicultural Student Programs and Services, Alumni Affairs, Student Affairs, and others;
managing the planning and implementation of campus-based programs to increase diversity and designing outreach strategies to expand Notre Dame's visibility among high-achieving, underrepresented student populations;
acting as the liaison with access organizations such as QuestBridge, KIPP, Cristo Rey, National Hispanic Institute, and others;
developing and managing a comprehensive recruitment strategy to expand access and increase applications and enrollment from underrepresented student populations;
strengthening current and future relationships with community-based organizations (CBOs) to better understand Notre Dame's mission; and
designing and leading ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion training for admissions staff.
Staff Supervision. Direct and supervise a team of at least three admissions staff and also student interns dedicated to outreach recruitment in support of University enrollment goals.
Admission Territory Recruitment Management. Recruit and manage a specified recruitment territory, including:
representing the University at on-campus and virtual information sessions and special group information sessions;
traveling for high school visitations, information nights, and yield events; and
evaluating applications and chairing an undergraduate admission selection committee.
Other Duties.Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the director of admissions or the associate vice president for undergraduate enrollment.
The individual hired to fill this position will have the greatest potential for success by working full-time at the University of Notre Dame campus. However, the Enrollment Division senior leadership will evaluate the feasibility of a remote work agreement for a candidate who is unable to relocate from their current location.

Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree (5 years) or advanced certification beyond the Bachelor’s degree
Eight or more years of progressive experience working in college admissions and/or various roles within an enrollment management or higher education structure
Strong leadership profile is necessary for effective team management
While no specific area of study is required for this position, extensive experience in college admissions work is very important.
Demonstrate excellent communications and presentation skills in English (oral and written) in both individual and group settings
Possess proficiency in, or working knowledge of, CRM systems, computer systems, and software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Possess a valid driver’s license and a U.S. passport
Experience in working with Technolutions/Slate and Banner
Fluency in speaking and writing in a second language
