Advise undergraduate students in the College of Engineering (ENG) using knowledge of ENG programs, policies, and procedures of the College as well as University programs, primarily on a walk-in basis, concerning course and program selection based on an evaluation of the student's interests and record. Advising will also be done on an appointment basis and by mail, e-mail, and telephone. Assist students in understanding academic standards, major options, and requirements. Assist students with referrals to appropriate campus and non-campus offices for academic and non-academic issues. Assist with recruitment and retention efforts including Red Letter Days and New Student Enrollment. Assist with priority registration workshops and activities. Assist with transfer student new Student Enrollment, evaluation of files, and delivery of on campus orientation programs.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus one year of relevant academic experience in higher education or secondary education/counseling are required. A Master's degree will substitute for the experience. Experience must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, writing, organization/time management and computer skills and the ability to work as an effective team member.
Academic or career advising experience preferred. A background in engineering or a related area such as student affairs is desirable.
