This position serves as the first point of contact for students with existing credits and experiences that wish to enroll in a program, as well as serving as the college's DARS liaison. In partnership with faculty and academic administration, this position provides leadership and coordination for the evaluation of prior learning and provides advising services to special populations as identified by the college.
Earned bachelor's degree with 5+ years of Registrar or Advising experience.
Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations in an environment that is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Knowledge of student services programs, including student recruitment, academic advising, and admission policies and procedures.
Master's degree in education, higher education administration or related field.
At least one year of professional advising experience or experience in support services directly related to academic advising and transfer.
Experience with college-level preparation and success programs.
Expertise in national and international transfer guidelines and practices.
Skills in developing and leading innovative approaches to transfer opportunities, such as competency- based education.
Knowledge of and experience with the application and integration of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities policies, procedures, and practices, transcript and credit equivalency standards; degree graduation standards, DARS, Transferology, evaluation of military education transfer policy; CLEP, DSST, AP and IB report evaluations; ISRS; and Microsoft Office software.
Demonstrated knowledge of student transfer advising strategies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent organizational skills; capable of handling a great deal of detail effectively.
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment; identify and resolve problems.
