Under the supervision of the Director of the Center for Diversity and Social Justice Programs (CDSJP), the Assistant Director of Diversity and Social Justice Programs is responsible for all programming aspects that promote inclusion efforts, student engagement, and student success within CDSJP.
The Assistant Director works collaboratively with students to promote diverse, equitable, and inclusive environments within the Wentworth community. The Assistant Director has considerable student interaction through the management and supervision of all diversity and social justice organizations, mentoring programs, and advocacy groups.
The Assistant Director contributes to the success of the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through campus partnerships, committee assignments, special projects, and various training activities.
Manage diversity and social justice student organizations including advising, budgeting, and programming.
Implement identity-based programming, educational and social.
Assist with internal and external communication.
Manage programming budget and monitor diversity and social justice organizations’ budgets.
Facilitate dialogues, trainings and workshops for students.
Collaborate with other departments to create partnerships and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
Provide support to individual students on a variety of issues, both personal and academic.

Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 2-4 years (includes graduate work) of experience in higher education and experience working with diverse populations. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated success in advising, programming, and project management.
Master’s degree. Experience within a multicultural/diversity/DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) center on a college/university setting.
