This Capstone Scholars Program Assistant Principal position focuses on Global Learning and Diversity. The position helps students understand diversity from a global as well as a local, community perspective. The individual must be an energetic, detail-oriented and collaborative, and also understands the needs of students during their 1st and 2nd year. They must also have a strong desire to work with students to broaden their understanding and appreciation of diverse populations. This position serves as the primary point of contact for study abroad programs and diversity programming in the Capstone Scholars Program. This position also manages the Passport Travel Grant to support students' study abroad experiences. A successful candidate works with faculty to develop and manage international experiences for the Capstone Scholars Program. This individual also works with students to develop Civic Engagement Training opportunities and certifications. In addition to global classroom and diversity programming, this position supports other Capstone Scholars' programming and events. The candidate must be student-focused and willing to connect with students through 1:1 meetings and drop-in hours. The Capstone Scholars Program, one of UofSC's Carolina Elite programs for high-ability students, is an invitation-only, 2-year faculty-led community serving over 2,500 students
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 1 year related experience, or bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience. Requires a valid driver's license.
