This Capstone Scholars Program Assistant Principal position focuses on Community Engagement. The individual must have a strong desire to work with students in developing and overseeing community engagement projects and initiatives, including service-learning and mentoring. The individual must be positive, energetic, and an outgoing individual who is well organized and understands the needs of students during their 1st and 2nd year.
This position serves as the primary point of contact for service and community mentoring opportunities in the Capstone Scholars Program. A successful candidate will develop and support community engagement programming for the Capstone Scholars Program while cultivating partnerships on campus and throughout the community. This individual works with student leaders to develop service events and programming. In addition to community engagement programming, this position supports other Capstone Scholars' programming and events. The candidate must be student-focused and willing to connect with students through 1:1 meetings and drop-in hours.
The Capstone Scholars Program, one of UofSC's Carolina Elite programs for high-ability students, is an invitation-only, 2-year faculty-led community serving over 2,500 students.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 1 year related experience, or bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience. Requires a valid driver's license.
