Wells College seeks qualified applicants for the position of Student Support Coordinator to serve as a non-confidential case manager and coordinator of personal and academic support for students. Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Coordinator works with students to help them understand and meet academic expectations and navigate college administrative processes. They will refer students to appropriate college and community resources and advocate for student needs, respond to inquiries from students, faculty , staff and parents, serve on the College's Behavior Intervention Team and are an integral member of the Student Affairs division, providing operational support for programs and services under a cross-functional team strategy.
Requires a Master's degree. One year and/or graduate internship/practicum experience as a counselor, social worker, case manager, coach or residence hall advisor is required. Two or more years is preferred. Commitment to serving individuals from multicultural backgrounds. Strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills; ability to work independently with little supervision. Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information, maintain neutrality and work under stress.
