The Student Support & Residential Life Coordinator (SSRLC) serves a dual role that lives on-campus and is a member of the Office of Vice President & Dean of Students and the Office of Residential Life with a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusivity.
The SSRLC provides students with timely and appropriate referrals to campus/community resources; monitors and tracks individual cases and student progress; assists in the managing various databases related to student concerns and maintaining related documentation; and assists in the management of re-entry strategies for those students returning to the College from hospitalizations and medical/compassionate withdrawals. This position also collaborates as a part of the College's CARE Team, a cross-campus support team designed to provide assessment and practical support for students; provides assistance to the College Behavioral team, a cross-campus team designed to assess and mitigate potential threats to the College community; and assists with Postvention contacts and support. The SSRLC is responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating a staff of 14 to 22 resident assistants (RAs) in the Office of Residential Life.
This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes extended timeframes, including late hours, weekends, and on-call rotation.
Required: Bachelor's degree; MA/MS in higher education, student affairs, college student personnel, or MSW preferred.
Required: 1 year of professional experience in residence life, case management and/or student conduct (includes graduate assistantships); 2+ years of professional experience preferred and competence with Microsoft Office.
Preferred: Experience with housing software or student management software (Navigate and Advocate
Knowledge of Title IX, VAWA, ADA, HIPPA, and FERPA.[YK1]
