Under the supervision of the Director of Campus Activities and Programs, the Associate Director for Student Groups & Programming serves the Office of Campus Activities and Programs. This position is responsible for the oversight of student group recognition and development, campus-wide programming initiatives, and direct advising of the Student Government Association (SGA). This position directly supervises two full-time, master’s level program coordinators and indirectly supervises two master’s level, graduate students.
A Master’s Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related field. At least three years of full-time experience in campus activities and programs through student group development, student governance, campus-wide programming initiatives, or related areas of student engagement in a college or university setting.
Direct experience advising student government associations, student programming boards, and student groups at the college or university level. Experience supervising full-time professional staff members, graduate assistants, and student staff. Demonstrated creativity and innovation in developing programs and strategies to engage students on campus. Experience and comfort in working in a multicultural environment and a commitment to the value of student activities as an experiential learning process.
